Our aim is simple - to help students learn how to study.

Knowing how to learn brings benefits that students can use throughout their education and in their wider life. They can pick-up new knowledge faster, more effectively and retain it over a longer period of time.

Developing Independent Learners

Our personalised approach involves a transformational 12 week programme of resources that are designed based on current research related to metacognition, memory and self-regulation. We support students through regular text messages with links to engaging activities and messages to help encourage them at key times of the academic year. We also believe that support from home can help with motivation and achievement so we also have regular contact with our ‘student supporters’.

Flipped for Students

Flipped for Students

Research shows that many students continue to use methods of studying and revision that are time-consuming and ineffective in helping remember information. Re-reading information, underlining and highlighting are just some examples of these methods. We want to help students understand what the most effective ways of studying are so that they feel in control of their work and can develop a deeper understanding of subject knowledge.

Flipped for Parents

Flipped for Parents

As students get older, parents and people at home can sometimes struggle with what they can do to help. At Flipped Tuition we want parents to know that their involvement will make a positive difference. We want students to be able to have productive conversations at home so they feel encouraged and supported during their time at school. Through our personalised text message system parents will receive regular up-dates on what activities students have completed and also ideas of questions they can ask to help with student motivation and well-being at key stages of the academic year.

Flipped for Schools

Flipped for Schools

All our schools will be able to access live data on how well students are getting on with completing the weekly modules. This can help identify any issues students may be having with revision and studying and can provide the catalyst for productive conversations with students. As parents have a key role in our programme schools can also access data on parental engagement in the activities.
